Alabama vs. McGill University: How To Watch

Joe Habshey - Bama Hoops Hype

Our first glimpse at all the hype. The guys will soon be lacing it up, for real this time, taking their talents north of the border, to battle what’s shaping up to be some fierce competition during their eight-day-stay in Canada.

Displaying their most high-powered line-up in years, the Tide is determined to live up to all the expectations. A 7th ranked recruiting class combined with 4 returning starters and redshirt sophomore Daniel Giddens means all eyes will be on Avery Johnson to see whether or not his coaching skills match up with his recruiting skills in terms of results.

The first match-up of the tour will tip-off at 6 p.m. CT in Montreal as Johnson’s men look to take on the McGill University Redmen. Coming off a 24-11 record last season, the Redmen will be no easy task, but with the star-studded freshmen class oozing with raw talent, this exhibition should be the perfect first step to prepare Sexton and Petty for the speed of play on the Division 1 level. Though McGill will be no easy contest, this match-up should also allow young guns to really demonstrate how potent their offense can be.

Following the game against McGill, the Tide will depart to Ottawa to play their final two games in the spread on the 9th and 10th before returning to Tuscaloosa on the 11th.

The Tide is rising, and Avery Johnson’s men are looking to make waves.
