Alabama Signee Collin Sexton Wins All-American Dunk Contest
- Updated: March 27, 2017

Alabama’s 2017 recruiting class is no secret. The Crimson Tide’s five signees are ranked fourth in the country by 247 Sports. With local players like John Petty, Alex Reese and Herb Jones being well-known to fans, the name Collin Sexton stands out among the rest.
“I’m very excited,” Sexton said on Monday night. “I can’t wait to play with the guys coming in as well as the guys that are returning. I’m just ready to have a great season.”
Sexton is ranked as a top 10 recruit across the board and 247 Sports has him listed as the nation’s top point guard. The Pebblebrook High School star was named a McDonald’s All-American and has already shown he can be the next big thing in college basketball. He showed off skills during the team practice on Monday and then showed off his leaping ability on Monday night on ESPNU.
How’d he do that!?

That was just the first round for Sexton. He topped that dunk and finished the night off with a huge windmill dunk to take home the trophy.

Sexton’s newest hardware lets him join the club that holds names like LeBron James, Blake Griffin and Vince Carter. The McDonald’s All-American Game can be seen on ESPN and is scheduled to tip off Wednesday night at 6 p.m. central time.
